Western Bahr el Ghazal State’s Wau Teaching Hospital Administration has received 734 boxes of drugs from International Medical Corps or IMC to support provision of medical services.
IMC Site Manager Tadesse Fesseha says the medical agency provides antibiotic and anti malarial drugs such as quinine and coartem, Voice of Hope reported.
He believes the medicines help a lot in improving health services, pointing out that any health facility without drugs is useless.
Western Bahr el Ghazal State Health Minister Isaac Cleto Hassan says medical donation came at the right time when the hospital is in need.
He instructs medical personnel to provide drugs to patients free of charge as the donation is good news to citizens.
Wau Teaching Hospital Outpatients Department or OPD Director Ajongo Ubeer says patients should report any call to buy medicines from the hospital.
The medical donation is the first of its kind since International Medical Corps signed a contract with Western Bahr El Ghazal State Ministry of Health in April.
