Eastern Equatoria State tribal clashes have caused alarming internal displacement, leaving at least 57 children as street wanderers.

State Culture & Child Welfare Director Jane Gama told Radio Emmanuel on Monday that most street children are the harvest of rural tribal conflicts.

She says an assessment report that the 57 are pure street children while many more are part timers, commuting from home to street from time to time.

Director Gama also blames parental negligence, destitution and environmental influences as accelerating factors in raising the plight of street children.

The director petitions every citizen to be responsible to bring up responsible children becoming future leaders.
