Sudan’s Nuba Mountains region has registered at least 1,656 Primary Eight or P8 candidates at the Secretariat of Education to join coaching for Kenya Certificate of Primary Education or KCPE.
Acting Education Director Musa Hussien Kujur says the number of girls enrolled is encouraging although the number of boys remains higher, Voice of Peace reported.
He says 56 teachers were selected with support from Nuba Relief and Rehabilitation Development Organization or NRRDO to coach the candidates.
Director Hussien discloses that the KCPE candidates’ coaching begins on July 15.
He advises the candidates to take education seriously and perform better.
