A Comboni Missionary Sister operating in Malakal, Upper Nile State says the civil population needs security assurance and development assistance to rebuild devastated shelters for resettlement including refunding for damaged working equipment.
Sister Elena Balatti tells CRN in an exclusive interview that returning to Malakal town will take some time because there is no assurance against civilians’ harassment by rival armed forces who exchange control of the town from time to time.
She hopes that peace agreement can be reached as soon as possible for the conflict victims to see justice in life.
Sr Balatti urges South Sudanese to strengthen their identity as family of God because they are all creations of one God the Almighty.
The Comboni Missionary Sister made the revelation on Friday in Juba.
