Western Equatoria State Yambio ‘Room to Learn” Project Representative says in an education stakeholders’ meeting on Thursday that United Sates Agency for International Development or USAID is funding the project to create access, safety and quality education for five years in the country.
Wilson Daniel adds that Yambio County Education Department has given 60 primary schools and Alternative Learning Program or ALP centres for staging the project and that in the second phase ‘Room to Learn’ project will enroll 60 more schools, Radio Anisa reported.
He says communities; county and Payam education departments will contribute in supporting ‘Room to Learn’ project through development plans and provision of labour.
Western Equatoria State Education Minister Pia Phillip Michael urges Parents Teachers’ Association or PTA to make proper use of the new project by identifying tangible priority areas for intervention to brighten the future of children.
‘Room to Learn’ project allocates grants in three phases to schools based on community commitment and performance in enrollment.
