The Precious Blood Sisters at Holy Cross Parish in Nuba Mountains on Wednesday celebrated their congregation establishment day.

Sister Catherine Tukay recalls that their congregation started in 1885 in South Africa, Voice of Peace reported.

She says the congregation goes to places of urgent need for education and health services.

Holy Cross Parish Priest Christopher Konga says that the presence of the Precious Blood Sisters in the Nuba Mountains is a great sacrifice to the needy community.

The celebration was attended by community leaders and representatives from Nuba Mountains’ Saints Peter and Paul Parishes.
