‘The strength of the church is the future of South Sudan’

A visiting Pontifical Foundation aide to Church in Need says the strength of the church makes a difference in the future of South Sudan.
 
In an exclusive interview with CRN, Christine du Coudray hails the commitment of the Catholic Church to meeting people’s needs amidst many challenges.
 
She adds that bishops and other church personnel are in full charge of the South Sudanese and that the church capacity to extend support to suffering people of South Sudan is vital for national growth.
 
Mrs Coudray says proper care for church workers help in uniting them as a loving and caring family rendering better services to communities.
 
She discloses that Church in Need is planning to launch a communication campaign to sensitize Pontifical Foundation supporters about the situation of South Sudan to raise funds to help the church.
 
The Pontifical Foundation aide visited South Sudan churches in Wau, Yambio, Rumbek and Torit to listen to expectations of local churches.
