Juba Catholic Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro in an elegy Mass on Monday for late Fr Hector Ayon Uoyamuti of the Comboni Missionary describes him ‘honest’, ‘man of God’, ‘kind and simple’.
Archbishop Lukudu recognizes the deceased elderly priest for being helpful and guiding to them in early life at seminary and in Italy where they studied together, Radio Bakhita reported.
The prelate says the church is happy to see that Fr Ayon died a Christian priest as his vocational dream.
The late South Sudanese Comboni Missionary was born in 1944, baptized in 1950 at his home village of Chukudum and joined the missionary in 1954 where he was later ordained a priest in 1970 by Pope Paul the VI.
