Central Equatoria State’s Yei Municipality decries health reports indicating more than 3,000 persons in Yei are living positive with HIV.
Mayor Santo Paul Lasuba appeals to leaders of all sorts to intensify mass awareness on HIV/AIDS in churches, mosques, funerals or other social gatherings, Radio Easter reported.
He calls on parents to restrict children from unnecessary movements.
Mayor Paul adds that the municipal authority has set to continue cracking down unauthorized involvement of underage age children in hotels, lodges and night clubs.
He says local engineers have completed their work plan in Yei town urging residents to be patient.
The Mayor says the municipality is working out land lease and certificates for demarcated areas so that low income earners can use land title deeds to get loans for development.
