Juba City Legislative Council on Friday passed the six months’ financial expenditure report of 2014/ 2015.
Council Chairperson Michael Lado Allah- Jabu while demanding heads of committee to witness the endorsement says they will forward the report to Juba City Mayor Chris Saraphino Wani Swaka for consideration and action, Radio Bakhita reported.
Finance & Economic Development Head Wilson Mamur recommends Juba City Council to submit the financial report annually to the City Legislative Council.
He adds that capacity building of revenue collectors and professional accountants ought to be a priority for effectiveness and efficiency.
It is the first time for the Council to endorse financial expenditure report since the establishment of the Juba City Council in March 2011 to May 2015.
