University of Juba students have expressed their outbursts that South Sudan education system from primary to secondary levels is confused, describing it as meandering.
Engineering student Dut Makuer Gol says the education system is outdated due to lack of domestic teaching textbooks.
He cites the usage of mixed curricular education materials as a mess up.
Student Yakani Martin agrees that the education system in the country is bad and that poverty has worsened matters making it difficult for many nationals access higher education.
He also observes that learners lack parental guidance and care leading to early marriages in communities, posing threat to attainment of higher education.
Student Martin urges the education ministry to boost the alternative learning system.
He demands that appropriate teaching materials about South Sudan should be used to address local needs instead of Uganda or Kenya textbooks.
The students made the alarm to Bakhita Radio on Friday at University of Juba Atlabara Main Campus.
