The campaign is the second of its kind after the first was launched last month.
T-shirts, caps, and banners bearing the theme “Yes for separations” were distributed to the participants to mark the campaign.
Bishop of the Episcopal Church of Sudan Paul Yugusuk told SCR News that the participants were matching in solidarity for an independent southern Sudan.
Mr. Yugusuk urged all eligible southerners to register in order to vote in the referendum
Nhial Kash said that he supports southern Sudan and would like it to be a country of its own.
Addressing the participants, Nyanton Director of “My referendum for Freedom” said that the time was too short, yet Southern Sudan Bureau and commissions for referendum have not been formed yet.
Southern Sudanese youths are pushing strongly to win their perceived future destiny.
A similar campaign was launched Sunday in Kampala by southern Sudanese leaving in Uganda with mainly the youths’ participation.
