The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba on Sunday declares the church firm stance in continuing to press deaf South Sudanese warring parties for non-violence in political settlement.

Bishop Santo Loku Pio says Christ advises Christians to refrain from violence and be instruments of love, Bakhita Radio reported.

The Bishop observes that IGAD peace initiative and Arusha SPLM reunification negotiations are not addressing real causes of grievances on governance and failure in service delivery to citizens.

He criticizes the focus on personality positions in power sharing as a useless endeavour for a century in realizing sustainable peace.

Bishop Loku challenges South Sudanese to tell the truth by confessing that they have murdered innocent lives for nothing.

He encourages the nation to embrace love and peace for all regardless of ethnic differences.

The prelate made the call during centenary celebration for the foundation of the Daughters of St Paul Congregation on Sunday in Juba.
