The National Intelligence and Security Service on Monday shut down Al-Intibaha newspaper, accusing it of playing a negative role in promoting secession than unity.
Speaking to Sudan Radio Service in Khartoum yesterday, Alfred Taban condemned the closure of Al-Intibaha newspaper saying it is a bad move that all journalists do not support.
Mr. Taban said the authorities should go to the court if anything is wrong with Intibaha.
He lamented that the act is a threat to freedom of press adding that the issue is regrettable.
Mr. Taban called on the government to reverse its decision and let Intibaha operate again.
