University of Juba reviews Student’s Union constitution

Thousands of students gathered under what is known as a political tree in the University of Juba to witness the review of Student’s Union or JUSU constitution.
 
University Dean of Students Riak Ater Deng tells Radio Bakhita in a telephone interview that they carried out alignment of JUSU reinstatement constitution to prepare students for two days’ referendum on the number of centres in the University.
 
He explains that the referendum is expected to commence within a week and that election of the Council of Union and Executive will follow later.
 
Dr Ater expresses the need to finish up the process before the end of the semester.
 
Only registered students are expected to vote in the varsity forthcoming referendum.
 
JUSU was dissolved in 2012 after student clashes which led to the closure of the University of Juba for sometime.
