Yei local authorities say more than eight thousand residents in Pakula Quarter Council of Yei Municipality are in need of clean drinking water.
Area Executive Chief Felix Sebit says the whole community is depending on only one borehole, forcing other residents to collect water from the streams.
The community leader appeals to the government and development partners to extend support to the area.
Rural Water and Sanitation Department continuously reported that lack of funds limited their planned activities to provide clean water to residents in the rural communities.
