20 teachers complete alternative education training

At least twenty teachers completed five-day intensive teaching practice and application skills on alternative education system at Yei Crop Training Centre over the weekend.
 
The training that was funded by Alfalith, a USA based organizational academic provider, aimed at eradicating illiteracy in South Sudan, Radio Easter reported.
 
Alfalith’s Founding Director Mandela Wani told the media that the adult alternative education system would help learners to sit for the primary eight exams and pursue secondary education.
 
One of the trainees, Betty Pita Stephen, expresses happiness after acquiring new skills, saying she is ready to apply the new knowledge to learners.
 
The Pilot project is expected to start in ten centres of Yei including military barracks and would be extended out to other parts of the country.
