Yei Catholic Bishop during the celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of Sr Mercy Benson of the congregation of Sisters’ Servants of the Holy Spirit urges Christians to pray for God’s protection to families.
Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe in his homily at Christ the King Cathedral on Thursday calls for concentrated prayers for families to yield more vocations, Radio Easter reported.
He expresses gratitude to God for the presence of missionary priests and sisters enriching the diocese in evangelizing God’s word in the diocese, stressing the need to locally produce priests in the diocese to preach the word of God.
The Catholic Prelate commends the commitment of Sr Mercy Benson, fellow sisters and missionary priests in working together with local priests and religious to delver better services in the vast diocese.
