Members of Lakes State Legislative Assembly are calling for the resignation of Speaker Baipath Majuec over what they term ‘inability to control the August House’.
MP Veronica Yomjima Philip of Cueibet County accuse the Speaker of making the Parliament dormant since March, giving unjustifiable leaves, encouraging MPs’ absenteeism and no formation of new specialized committees, Radio Good News reported.
MP Yomjima laments that the Assembly had no say on the rampant killings in the state due to weak leadership, calling on the state government and SPLM to intervene in resolving the crisis of parliament.
Radio Good News on Wednesday could not access the Speaker for comment.
