CATHOLIC BISHOPS CONCLUDE VISIT TO US

Three catholic bishops have concluded a one-month visit to the United States of America last week.

The three Bishops on the trip were Bishops Rudolf Deng Majak, Bishop of Wau and President of the Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference (SCBC), Bishop Daniel Adwok Kur, auxiliary Bishop of Khartoum, and Bishop Edward Hiiboro of Tombura-Yambio.
Talking today to SCRN, the Chairman of the SCBC, Bishop Rudolf Deng Majak, said the visit was to seek support for a peaceful conclusion of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement CPA.
Bishop Deng called on the peace loving people of the Sudan and the whole world to join hands in supporting a just and peaceful conclusion of the CPA.
Bishop Deng revealed that the SCBC would discuss on July 15th its strategies to help the final preparation for the conclusion of the CPA.
The Comprehensive Peace Agreement CPA ends right after the conduct of the Referendum for southern Sudan on 9th January 2011.
