As operations on Thursday ended, many lucky patients are left with joy to have regained their normal sights including a 13-year-old boy who became blind at the age of five he was able to see.
Radio Voice of Hope met a number of those who regained sights including the boy, Emmanuel Louis, who expresses happiness that he can now go to school and do other activities with his friends and relatives.
Another beneficiary Teresina Mongo Ugali, 55 years old was also able to see again after the operation.
Health authorities confirmed that 139 patients affected by eye disease benefited from the Egyptian health campaign.
