Trade, Industry and Investment Ministry says they urgently need fifty million US Dollars for capable private sector to bring food to rescue South Sudanese from the high prices.
Undersecretary Biel Jock Thich on Friday after a meeting between the ministry and the private sector says the government would ensure that markets in the ten states are full of foodstuff in the next three weeks to bring down the prices.
South Sudan Business Union Acting Secretary-General Tony Jaja says traders are facing difficulty to access the letter of credit, demanding the Letter to be taken back to commercial banks.
The Acting Secretary-General adds that taxes in Nimule are very high, urging the government to reduce to prevent the current situation.
