A group of Egyptian Medical Doctors are in Western Bahr El Ghazal State on Friday to do surgical operations at Wau Teaching Hospital.
Egyptian Medical Advisor Hisham Labib, who heads the delegation, told journalists on arrival at Wau airport that the doctors operate patients with different diseases, Radio Voice of Hope reported.
State Health Minister Isaac Cleto Hassan says the presence of Egyptian doctors would help reduce high mortality rate and conduct capacity building for the local medical cadres.
Western Bahr El Ghazal Governor Rizig Zachariah Hassan says Egyptian experience would be significant to state development, expressing his government commitment to strengthen the relationship with Egypt.
The Egyptian doctors are expected to start operating nearly 700 patients as of today Saturday at Wau Teaching Hospital, an exercise that will last for one week.
