He notes in the Mission’s Torit office newsletter that various events would be held across South Sudan to mark the Day.

Mr Kargbo says the UNMISS would join the United Nations family around the world to observe UN Peacekeepers to celebrate the work of peacekeepers.

The Officer says the events are to honour those who died in peacekeeping adding that preparations are underway to hold events in Torit and Kapoeta Town.

The PIO says there will be a wreath-laying at the UNMISS base in Torit, to pay respect to peacekeepers who have died in South Sudan and around the world.
