The World Bank Country director for south Sudan has revealed that Sudan will not benefit from the 11.5 billion US dollar donation to Africa.

Talking to SCR news, Lawrence Clark explained that Sudan cannot benefit from the donation due to an external debt of 35 billion US dollars, that Sudan still has with the international community.

Mr. Clarke remarked that the World Bank is working with the governments of South Sudan and National Unity to clear the debts, so that other funds can come into the Sudan.

He made these remarks during a discussion with government officials and civil society on the World Bank African action plan.
