The National Supreme Court in Khartoum jumped out of the case presented to them by the former independent candidate for the governorship of Central Equatoria State.
Alfred Ladu Gore opened a case to the Supreme Court against NEC after losing in the April Elections to his main rival, Clement Wani Konga, who was the incumbent governor of Central Equatoria State.
Addressing the press yesterday, Mr. Gore said the Court issued a verdict stating that it has no jurisdiction over complaints made by him.
He explained that the decision of the National Supreme Court is illegal and that the Court has embarrassed itself as a legal and independent institution.
Mr. Gore lamented that he would not recognize the legal system of the country and regards the National Supreme Court as an instrument for political manipulation, intended to safeguard interests of some of the ruling groups in the North and South Sudan.
Mr. Gore urged the citizens of Central Equatoria to remain calm, while he would pursue other democratic options to achieve his rights.
