St Daniel Comboni Parish Priest in Nagero on Monday calls on people to embark on food production and savings due to the economic and political crises in South Sudan.
Fr Hume George discloses to Anisa Radio that they in Nagero Parish are facing impassable roads during the rainy season and expects to be cut off from the Diocese in the near future, Radio Anisa reported.
He asks the state government and partners to provide agricultural tools and seed to farmers on time for them to boost food production.
Fr Hume calls on Nagero County and Western Equatoria State governments to provide sufficient security to safeguard school children to study in a peaceful environment.
He warns people who have fertile land to cultivate rather than hunting and fishing.
The Parish is one of the 19 parishes in Tombura-Yambio Catholic Diocese with major challenges including inadequate medicines and clean drinking water among others.
