Sudan National Election Commission (NEC) has cut down staff in the ten states of South Sudan as work scale drops after the elections.

The former secretary for Eastern Equatoria High Election Committee, Mr. Ochieng Amos Juma revealed that NEC has reduced the staff in all states and that NEC has appointed personnel in each state to take charge of the offices and property.

He explained that the care takers will represent NEC in the state, finalize all pending duties in the high committee, and prepare an inventory of all NEC property.

Ms. Jersa Kide Barasaba Amin heads the South Sudan High Election Committee.
