The Lakes State government on Monday opened the store for the sale of food commodities at affordable prices.
State Finance Minister Kuol Ayulol says they received ten thousand bags of maize flour and sugar to be sold to the public, Radio Good news reported.
The minister says they target people who cannot afford to buy flour at high prices in the market and that they would monitor the selling process to avoid people buying in large quantities and selling them at high prices.
Minister Kuol says the maize flour price would be sold at 250 South Sudanese Pounds per a 50 kg and sugar sold at 300 Pounds.
