EE women call for equal participation in localizing UN Resolution

Women groups in Eastern Equatoria state call for equal participation in disseminating the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 to the masses.
 
National Assembly legislator Betty Achan Ogwaro while closing a two-day training of civil society organizations in Torit on Friday, urges women to involve their colleagues in counties and ensure gender balance in disseminating the Resolution, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
EVE Organization for Women Director Rita Martin calls on women to collectively support the facilitation of the UN Resolution 1325 to the grassroots.
 
UN Security Council Resolution 1325 talks of women participation at all levels of jobs, prevention of women from all sexual and gender-based violence including protection and rights of women and children.
 
The Resolution also talks of participation of women in all decision making at all levels as well as relief and rehabilitation.
 
The workshop EVE Women body organized attracted 27 participants from state ministries, members of parliament and civil society organizations.
