EE government urges intellectuals to boost agriculture

Eastern Equatoria government calls on its intellectuals to act as tools in steering the masses to boost agriculture in the state.
 
State Deputy Governor Jerome Gama Surur calls on all constitutional post holders to cultivate at least an acre of crops, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
He calls on intellectuals and citizens in the state to change their attitudes towards cultivation and take agriculture as an economic enterprise.
 
The Deputy Governor tasks the community responsible to make Eastern Equatoria and South Sudan hunger free nation by cultivation during favourable seasons.
 
Mr Gama also encourages farmers to dig more land and produce food locally to improve the economy.
 
He discloses that the tractors the national government provided to the state would be send to farming communities in villages.
