Malteser International handed over the Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS programs to the State Ministry of Health of Central Equatoria.
Talking to Radio Easter, the Southern Sudan Coordinator for Malteser International, Ms. Asia Hanano said that they started with capacity building of the health personnel.Ms. Hanano added that Malteser will give support until 2011 to wards in an effort to strengthen the County health Department.
Malteser International which started operation in Yei since 1997 signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the GoSS and state Ministries of Heath.
The state Minister of Health Mr. Alahaz Peter congratulated Malteser for the hard work in the Health sector.
