Traditional groups from different communities of South Sudan in Yei are expected to participate in a cultural contest on the celebration of the cultural day on May 21.
County Culture Youth and Sports Assistant Commissioner Kujo Benet says the festival aims at reviving cultures and that one tribe would represents a state to convey key messages including naming, marriage and funeral, Radio Easter reported.
Yei Town Block Deputy Director Lily Juan Felix calls on communities to continue practicing their cultures for the new generation to learn.
The officials made the statements after holding a preparatory meeting on Friday in Yei.
