Kajo-Keji Commissioner says cattle herders settling in Lori, Gödöru, Liwolo and Kala areas of the County in Central Equatoria accepted to leave for their animals not to destroy crops.
Henry Kala Sabuni told CRN in a telephone interview on Saturday that the cattle keepers responded positively during the meeting, saying they would leave for successful cultivation.
The Commissioner says the herders observe that they would be killing people, especially children with hunger if they allow their cattle to feed on food crops.
The Commissioners applauds the pastoralists’ positive respond to their demand and President Salva Kiir’s order, commenting that it is a good way of understanding one another.
