TAHA DISCLOSES UNITY SUPPORT PROJECT

The second Vice President of Sudan today disclosed the projects meant to support unity of the country.

Ali Osman Mohamed Taha who arrived today announced that the unity supported projects are funded by the presidency in the Government of National Unity GoNU. Addressing the gathering Mr. Taha said the projects were planned earlier but implementation was intended for 2010.

Mr. Taha revealed that the contracts for the projects would probably be signed between GONU and GOSS after the discussions this evening.

Mr. Taha explained that the projects followed discussions of many other important issues in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement CPA.

The projects include Improvement of land and water transport through, Dam construction, Electricity, Education, Communication and health services across southern Sudan.

It is not yet clear whether GOSS would sign the proposal.
Mr. Taha said the projects would start after the signing of the contracts, adding that the projects should be completed in six months time.
