Yei Vicar General urges youth to join seminary

Yei Catholic Vicar General during his Sunday homily at Christ the King Cathedral calls on the young people to join seminary to become priests and sisters to serve the people of God and the nation.
 
Fr Zachariah Angutuwa Sebit laments that there are only five young people in their Kajo-Keji minor seminary, adding that the diocese is large with few priests unable to immediately reach services to far areas, Radio Easter reported.
 
He commends the role played by missionary priests and sisters in providing services despite challenges.
 
Fr Lazarus Mondua, in his Bari mass homily, urges Christians to repent for Jesus Christ to grant His mercy and salvation upon them, calling on Christians to denounce dependency on earthly materials.
 
He describes Christians who do not concentrate in prayers as ‘jerry can without water’, appealing to citizens to stop work for few hours and attend prayer services.
 
The priests are calling on South Sudanese to pray for peace and change of hearts of war lords.
