Archbishop Lukudu returns from Addis Ababa peace mission

The Catholic Archbishop of Juba and leaders of South Sudan Council of Churches on Thursday returned from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia after a two-day peace mission in search of peace in the country.
 
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro told Radio Bakhita upon his arrival at Juba International Airport that they discussed on how to bring peace to the country and that the church considers citizens as starting point to the process.
 
Archbishop Lukudu calls on the warring parties to immediately stop fighting for people to realize peace and reconciliation in the country, saying the Church decided to play a serious role in the upcoming negotiations.
 
The Catholic Prelate underscores that the church in South Sudan needs peace and reconciliation.
