Central Equatoria Health Ministry announces banning of ambulances for carrying dead bodies to avoid infecting patients with terrible diseases.
Felix Lodu, who spoke while receiving five new ambulances from the national Health ministry in Juba on Monday, says the vehicles would be distributed to Munuki, Kator, Gurei and other Health Centres for carrying patients to the hospital.
Minister Lodu says the donation shows the beginning of health sector reform, appealing to the National Health Ministry to provide more vehicles to be painted with a different colour to carry dead bodies.
The Minister advises drivers to take good care of the ambulances to avoid breakdown.
Minister Lodu stresses that it is better to hire another vehicle than going to the centre for ambulance.
