High prices push national cabinet to conduct workshop

Government spokesperson after council of ministers ordinary sitting on Friday told journalists that the hiking commodity prices motivated the national the government to resolve conducting a workshop within two weeks.
 
Michael Makuei Lueth says the workshop aims at addressing the skyrocketing market prices in the country to help get rid of the daily increasing cost of goods.
 
He says the decision came three weeks after the council established a ministerial committee to study the market and write a report on issues of prices and their control.
 
The minister says the council mandated the same committee to prepare for the workshop after it presented its report that inspired a workshop.
 
He says that the report convinced the council of ministers that really the prices are high in the country and there is need for the leadership to get a mechanism to control them.
