A priest in the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba says ‘the government from day one when South Sudan became a nation was ‘fragmented’.
Representing Bishop Santo Loku Pio at the commemoration of International Women Day organized by daughters of Mary Immaculate at Gurei in Juba on Saturday, Fr David Tombe said the political leaders started fighting and one party divided into three groups, noting that the country is in need of peace, Radio Bakhita reported.
Fr Tombe cites realities of insecurity and that education and prayer that make South Sudanese to have ‘unity of heart’ in order to realize peace in the country.
The priest calls on development partners to exert more efforts in building citizens’ trust to achieve unity in South Sudan.
