Internally Displaced People or IDPs at Kotdalok village in Ayod County of Jonglei State continue yearning for peace to cultivate their own food as usual.

United Nations World Food Program or WFP publishes that during a registration exercise the IDPs lament losing hope of eating cereals so soon again until peace returns.

The IDPs’ dignity impresses WFP despite their difficult conditions in spirit of sacrifice for one another.

WFP says the IDPs lost most of their livelihoods, adding that most of the villages in the area are inaccessible by road and that there is serious absence of basic social services such as health facilities.

The publication says most IDPs there are mixed population of Dinka and Nuer ethnicities with intermarriage relationship, living together in harmony.
