Central Equatoria State Finance Minister attributes the worsening economic crisis where the US Dollars exchange rate against South Sudanese Pounds is high to heavy dependency on foreign goods because of inadequate food production in the country.
Juma David Augustine urges citizens and government to embark on agriculture to reduce readymade and imported food from neighboring countries, Easter Radio reported.
He says the state government is procuring ten tractors for agricultural mechanization in six counties of the state.
The State Finance Minister encourages masses to at least invest in subsistent farming.
