Yei Civil Society Organization Forum appeals to Central Equatoria State to restore the Municipality Legislative Council for smooth running of the Local Government.
The Forum Vice Chairperson Mawa George Lazarus describes the removal of the legislative council a ‘surprise’, Radio Easter reported.
He urges the state government to consult the community when appointing and removing leaders in Yei.
Earlier this week, Central Equatoria Governor Clement Wani Kong issued an order stopping the operation of Yei Legislative Council without explanation.
