Western Equatoria State Governor condemns denial of orphans and widows from their inheritance rights, calling on citizens to support parentless children’s instead of looting and making them poorer.
Bangasi Joseph Bakosoro urges family members of the deceased to discuss and agree on who takes the responsibility of orphans instead of focusing on property, Radio Anisa reported.
He criticizes the culture of chasing away of widows from home, but leaving the widowers when they lose their partners, advising people to write their will while alive.
The Governor was reacting against the rampant happenings of some family members who strike over assets of a deceased member without caring for his children.
