The Network of Civil Society Organization Forum in Yei is calling on the government to intervene on the sky rocketing food prices in the country due to US Dollar scarcity.

The Forum Chairperson Nicolas Sebit suggests regulation of Dollars exchange rates through banks to stabilize country’s economy ahead of heavy rains to avoid high food prices effects on citizens, Radio Easter reported.

Yei Chamber of Commerce early last week reported that high exchange rates forced many traders to close down businesses in the County and the Municipality.
