Regional Water, Sanitation and hygiene promotions Advisor, Pierre Fourcassie, told SCN News that the training will help the UNICEF staff with Systems to get better prepared incase of emergencies.
He noted that the training would make UNICEF more efficient and effective in humanitarian service delivery in times of difficulties.
Mr. Fourcassie said that the most common emergencies are floods and human made disasters including tribal clashes in some areas, and LRA attacks in Western Equatoria State.
Mr. Fourcassie explained that people affected in such situation need to be prompted with water and health facilities to avoid disease outbreaks.
Southern Sudan has experienced on and off inter-tribal clashes that led to human displacement and loss of lives and famine.
