Yei River County and Municipal Education authorities, non governmental and community-based organizations and supporting individuals on Tuesday held a one-day education forum to polish issues affecting learning processes.

County Deputy Education Director Amos Alexander stresses the need for head teachers training, building more schools, support orphans and construction of schools’ health facilities as some key areas to be addressed, Radio Easter reported.

Mr Alexander decries lack of education office block, funds for girl education day celebration and failure of NGOs to present their work plans for 2015-2016.

County Education Director Philip Taban Issa calls on partners to work in collaboration with the department to prioritize activities.

The forum was held at Jigomoni Primary School on Tuesday in Yei municipality.
