Political parties warned that the extension of the term of the President, national and state parliaments is a threat to the democratic process.
National Alliance Secretary-General Martin Aligo Abe told the press in Juba on Monday that no sitting government has a constitutional right to extend its own life.
He called on South Sudanese to unite and see into it that peace is the priority, appreciating IGAD countries and the international community for having stood with South Sudanese at the needy time.
The National Alliance accused the warring parties of lacking political will to compromise for peace possible.
