Society of the Divine Word Missionary Vice Superior General on Saturday said priests in Holy Family Parish in Lainya County expressed their commitment to continue with service after they lost three houses on fire earlier this month.
Fr Kisala Robert Joseph told Radio Easter that the priests’ courageous expression to keep on serving inspired him, calling on them to come together, be strong and aware of each other’s support.
He commended Lainya parishioners, Yei Catholic Diocese and the Sisters’ Servants of the Holy Spirit for supporting the priests.
Fr Kisala said they are very concerned about the security of the priests in the county and that they pray for peace and opportunity to share the gospel in South Sudan.
The fire that broke out early March burnt three houses including priests’ belongings.
