Juba-Johannesburg diplomat says investment boosts peace

South Africa Ambassador to South Sudan says his country targets investment in the young country to boost peace by creating job opportunities to divert cattle raiders’ attention.
 
Ambassador Gabriel Phemelo Sethoke told journalists on Thursday that South Africa Embassy in Juba and Central Equatoria State government are making arrangements to capacitate South Sudan Chamber of Commerce.
 
South Sudan Ambassador to South Africa Philip Jada Natana disclosed that South Africa’s Trade and Investment Mission to Juba targets networking and joint business ventures between the two countries.
 
South Sudan Chamber of Commerce Secretary-General Simon Akuei Deng told journalists that South Africa Trade and Investment Mission to Juba comprising of 28 companies targets investment in mining, electricity and agribusiness to make earnings and create jobs.
